Details have surfaced on some new footage from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier which has been teased by outgoing Disney CEO, Bob Iger.
According to Laughing Place, the footage kicks off with Bucky (Sebastian Stan) paying a visit to Zemo (Daniel Brühl) in some sort of state of the art prison. Zemo attempts to activate The Winter Soldier’s programming but, due to the deprogramming Bucky underwent in Wakanda, his attempts fail. It seems Bucky also mentions that the super soldier serum has been recreated.
John Walker’s Captain America is seen entering the stadium from the Super Bowl sneak peek (below) and is followed by a montage of action sequences included Zemo fighting in his iconic mask from the comics.
The series has recently had to pause filming in Prague following Coronavirus fears but at this time we do not think this will delay the planned summer release date.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to debut on Disney+ in August 2020. The six-part limited series will be directed by Kari Skogland and stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes. Emily VanCamp returns as Sharon Carter alongside Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker/USAgent.
