It’s been a big week for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness. Following the loss of director Scott Derrickson there are plenty of rumours that Spider-Man director Sam Raimi is taking on the film. Now it seems the script is also getting an overhaul.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that original writer Jade Halley Bartlett is being replaced by Michael Waldron. Waldron is currently working on the Loki series for Disney+.
No reason has been for the change but following the exit of Derrickson over the usual “creative differences” the studio most likely wants to polish the script to bring it in line with their vision.
Starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set for a May 7, 2021 release date.
