Today will see the release of the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. Warner Bros. is finally beginning to lift the veil of mystery surrounding the project and they’ve begun by showing off these first look stills.
Lead actor John David Washington appears alongside our latest Batman, Robert Pattinson in the first image and in the second is co-star Elizabeth Debecki.
Speaking of the film, Nolan said “We’re jumping off from the point of view of an espionage film, but we’re going to a number of different places,” explains the director. “We’re crossing a few different genres in a hopefully exciting and fresh way. [Producer] Emma [Thomas] and I have put together a lot of large-scale productions, but this is certainly the biggest in terms of international reach. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces. There’s no question, it’s the most ambitious film we’ve made.”
Check back later for the first tailer for the film.
The film is set to star John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.
It has also been announced that Black Panther‘s Ludwig Göransson will provide the score.
Tenet is due for release on July 17, 2020.
