It suddenly feels like The Rise of Skywalker is upon us as the film is set to be released in just over three week’s time! Disney and partners Lucasfilm have now released the first clip which can check out in the player below.
But now we also have confirmed from director J. J. Abrams that the film will run for a total of 141mins, that’s almost identical to that of A New Hope, two hours and 21 minutes.

The film will see the return of Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), and Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix).
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) will also all return to reprise their iconic roles from previous films.
The late Carrie Fisher will appear via previously unreleased archive footage.
