After rumours began circulating over the last couple of weeks, director Matt Reeves has now confirmed that Andy Serkis will indeed be part of the cast of The Batman.
In typical Reeves form he posted a GIF of the actor to his Twitter with the simple caption “And here comes Alfred”.

With Serkis set to direct Venom 2 next year we are unsure as to the level of Alfred’s appearance in the film. Serkis previously worked with Reeves on the Planet of the Apes film where his own company helps provide motion capture for the VFX Apes.
Written and directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is set to star Robert Pattinson in the title role, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/Nygma.
The Batman is due for release on June 25, 2021.
