A new post from Disney Parks Blog (picked up by ComicBookMovie) has revealed the location of the Death Star seen in the latest Star Wars trailer.
In The Rise of Skywalker‘s final trailer we got confirmation that part of the film will take place in the remains of the Death Star last seen in Return of the Jedi. But it also became abundantly clear that those ruins were not on the forrest moon of Endor.
The aforementioned blog post discusses how the Star Tours exhibit at Disneyland will be updated in line with the Skywalker‘s release. In the post it mentions the remains of the Death Star cashed down on a moon known as Kef Bir.
At the moment we know nothing more about Kef Bir other than it is covered in a huge body of water as seen in the trailer. This possibly means no Ewok cameos in the film though!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyI-TbnptbkThe film will see the return of Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), and Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix).
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) will also all return to reprise their iconic roles from previous films.
The late Carrie Fisher will appear via previously unreleased archive footage.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
