Marvel recently partnered with podcast platform Stitcher to begin creating scripted and unscripted podcast content for the web. Now The Hollywood Reporter is carrying a story on the entertainment giant’s plans to create even more audio content for fans.
According to the trade Marvel has partnered with the SiriusXM platform in a new deal which includes “scripted and unscripted shows,” as well as “live events,” to be broadcast through both SiriusXM and Pandora.
The first of these Marvel/SirusXM podcasts is due to arrive in 2020.
It has been announced that Wolverine, Hawkeye, Black Widow and Star-Lord will each headline their own individual series; which will run ten episodes each. Those heroes will then team up in a fifth podcast series, Avengers/Defenders style.
The unscripted content will look at “Marvel’s long history through a modern-day lens and include talk shows and series dedicated to popular Marvel franchises.”
A further podcast will focus on interviews with celebrities, based around the Marvel universe.
