We’ve heard plenty about Disney+’s flagship Star Wars series The Mandalorian which will be launching later this year. But what about the other previously announced series set in the same universe, Cassian Andor.
The series is set to focus on the character first introduced in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story played by Diego Luna. Luna is set to reprise the role with the show, obviously, set prior to the events of the film.
Now THR is reporting that Rogue One writer, Tony Gilroy, has signed on to work on the project. Gilroy also work on The Bourne Legacy.
Little is known about the project for now but recent rumours also point to Alan Tudyk returning as droid sidekick K-2SO. The Americans producer Stephen Schiff will serve as showrunner.
Monthly and annual subscriptions for Disney+ are now available in the US, priced at $6.99 and $69.99, respectively. A seven-day free trial beginning November 12 is being offered also.
