Back in May we brought you the news that Marvel Television was developing a new Ghost Rider series which was set to debut on Hulu in 2020.
It’s now been confirmed by Deadline that the series is no longer moving forwards. The trade cites the usual issues claiming the studios “reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved.”
The story took a turn later in the night as Twitter scooper Daniel Richtman claimed there was much more going on behind-the-scenes. Richtman’s sources has informed him that Kevin Feige and the team at Marvel Studios have plans to introduce the character in to the MCU.
It is those plans which has reportedly put an end to development on the TV incarnation of the character. According to Richtman’s sources Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb also had plans for Blade, Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night and Midnight Sons until those properties were all reserved for the MCU also.
