It’s now under two weeks to go until the return of Supergirl for it’s fifth season. Over the weekend The CW has released this extended promo for the season premiere, “Event Horizon“.
Eagle-eyed fans instantly noticed that Kara is wearing her classic costume for much of the promo. But it’s soon revealed just how and why Kara get’s an upgrade.
We’re also treated to a first look at new villain Midnight, played by Jennifer Cheon Garcia.

Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist, David Harewood, Mehcad Brooks, Katie McGrath, Jesse Rath, Nicole Maines and Chyler Leigh. The series airs on The CW in North America, Sundays at 9/8c.
