According to Variety, Joel Fry is set to play Jasper in Disney’s live-action origin story based on the nasty villain, Cruella de Vil.
Joel Fry is known for his role in Game of Thrones as Hizdahr zo Loraq, You, Me and the Apocalypse, and the 2019 film, Yesterday.
In the original 1961 animation, Jasper is one of the half-witted crooks that helps kidnap the dalmatian puppies along with his partner, the equally half-witted, Horace.
Paul Walter Hauser will be playing Horace in the upcoming origin story, and the wonderful Emma Stone is set to play the villainous Cruella de Vil.
Craig Gillespie, director of I, Tonya, will be directing the brand new origin story with Kristin Burr and Andrew Gunn producing.
Disney’s Cruella is set to arrive in theaters December 23, 2020.
