Though fans are currently at the start of a very long hiatus for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD we do have some potentially exciting news for season 7.
At the close of season 6 Fitz (Ian De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) cracked the idea of time travel and took the team back to the 1930’s to explore the origins of SHIELD.
Who might they run in to whilst exploring that period of time? Why Peggy Carter of course! The character was vital to the creation of SHIELD so it seems only natural that Hayley Atwell might appear.
Well FandomWire agrees with you. According to a rumour they are currently carrying, Atwell has closed a deal to return to Marvel for a guest stint in the final season of Agents of SHIELD. We don’t know how many episodes she may appear in but we’re always happy to have more Peggy on our screens!
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is set to return for its final season in 2020 on ABC in North America. Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Ian De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge, Nick Blood, Jeff Ward, Eve Harlow, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Coy Stewart star.
