Oliver Jackson-Cohen enjoys being haunted, joins “The Haunting of Bly Manor” in lead role

Oliver Jackson-Cohen is certainly having a good week.
Fresh off the announcement that he has scored the lead in Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man, comes news that he will also be the lead in Netflix and Mike Flanigans upcoming The Haunting of Bly Manor.
The second season of the anthology series, that began with the surprise hit The Haunting of Hill House last year will feature a completely new set of characters, so don’t expect a return from Luke here.
In the new series, Cohen will play Peter, who is described simply as a “charming fellow.” A complete 180 from his Hill House counterpart it seems.
“The Haunting of Bly Manor” is inspired by Henry James’ psychological gothic horror novella The Turn of the Screw, which takes place almost entirely in an old country mansion. There, two young orphans are looked after by a young governess by whom most of the story is narrated.
Victoria Pedretti, who will play the governess, is so far the only other Hill House cast member we have as returning, and I’d be highly surprised if more weren’t announced soon.
