The Daily Mail has reported that 2x Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz is joining the cast of Bond 25 to reprise his role as villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
The story, also confirmed by Variety, reports that the studio are pulling out all the stops for what is most likely Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007.
Waltz last appeared in in 2015’s Spectre but was first introduced to the franchise back in 1963’s From Russia With Love. The character has so far appeared in seven Bond movies which also includes Thunderball (1965), You Only Live Twice (1967), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), Diamonds Are Forever (1971) and For Your Eyes Only (1981).
Production continues on the latest instalment in the franchise.

Bond 25 see’s Daniel Craig return at the titular spy. Also starring are Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Lea Seydoux, Ana De Armas and Rami Malek.
The movie is due for release on April 8, 2020.
