When last we saw Zoe Saldana’s Gamora she was lost in time. With her present day self killed by Thanos in Infinity War we were left with her younger self trapped in the present day after Iron Man wiped out the armies attacking Earth.
Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians were seen possibly planning to try and find her but the question remained as to whether she wanted to be found. After all this is not the Gamora who had fallen in love with Star-Lord and not the Gamora who had joined the team.
Actress Zoe Saldana recently appeared at ACE Comic Con (via CBR) and discussed her excitement to explore her character’s bad side.
“The technical answer is, it all depends on what Marvel and James Gunn desire to do with the Guardians and with Gamora’s fate. There’s a part of me that wants her to go back, find her way back to the Guardians, but there’s also a part of me that wants to explore a bad Gamora. I’ve never seen that and she’s, you know, she’s considered the most lethal assassin, the most lethal woman in the galaxy, so I would want to see what that wrath looks like also because it would just give me layers to sort of work on. But yeah, I want her to get back to the Guardians.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 doesn’t have a release date at yet but will be directed by James Gunn with all cast members set to return from the previous movies.
