First look at BOND 25

Bond 25 (Universal Pictures/MGM)

After delay upon delay, whether it was an injury, schedule conflicts, or a disaster on set, Bond fans have finally received their first look at the 25th installment of the Bond franchise.

The short clip includes footage of Craig back in action with director Cary Fukunaga behind the camera. We also saw the return of Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter, and the first look at Nomi, who is being played by Captain Marvel‘s Lashana Lynch.

All the footage shown above was shot in Jamaica, very close to Ian Fleming’s Goldeneye estate on Oracabessa Bay where he wrote his James Bond novels.

As of now, the 25th film is currently known at Bond 25 but it is unclear whether a new title will be revealed. Perhaps once we get our first trailer all will become clear. For now, this is the official synopsis of Bond 25:

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology

Bond 25 see’s Daniel Craig return at the titular spy. Also starring are Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Lea Seydoux, Ana De Armas and Rami Malek.

The movie is due for release on April 8, 2020.
