After three weeks at the top of the North American box office, Avengers: Endgame has finally be de-throned.
In it’s fourth weekend at the box office the Marvel Studios release fell a further -53.5% and grossed an estimated $29.4M. That brings its domestic total to $770.8M.
Its worldwide gross is currently estimated at $2.614B. That is only $173M away from besting James Cameron’s Avatar as the highest grossing movie of all time.
Leading the pack this week is Lionsgate release John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. The third movie in the franchise grossed an impressive $57M domestic to top the box office.
For those keeping score that’s almost double the $30.4M opening of John Wick 2 and streets ahead of the $14.4M of the first John Wick movie.
Internationally Parabellum grossed a further $35M for a worldwide opening around the $92M mark. It’s safe to say this will most likely be the highest grossing movie of the franchise to date.
