Yesterday the cast and crew of Bond 25 confirmed the first details of the movie during a press conference in sunny Jamaica.
The conference kicked off with an interview with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. The pair confirmed the working title for the movie is currently Bond 25 and this is how the movie will be referred to until a full title is confirmed.
Daniel Craig has been confirmed to star as James Bond for his fifth appearance as 007. Craig will be joined by returning cast members Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright.
New cast members for this latest adventure include Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen. Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek has also finally be confirmed to play the movies villain.
A short plot synopsis for Bond 25 reads:
Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
The production has already filmed scenes in Norway and is currently filming in Jamaica before moving to Pinewood Studios in London. Production will wrap in Italy later in the year.
The movie is due for release on April 8, 2020.
