We’re hearing news that two more actors have joined the cast of Warner Bros. upcoming, animated Scooby-Doo movie.
Deadline is reporting that The Hangerover actor Ken Jeong has joined the cast as Dynomutt, Dog Wonder as frequent collaborator of Scooby’s. Dynomutt is a mechanical super-hero dog, capable of producing a logically impossible number of gadgets from his body.
Also joining the cast is Dope actress Kiersey Clemons. She will be voicing Dee Dee Skyes, the unofficial leader of Captain Caveman’s Teen Angels. Dee Dee was the only African-American Teen Angel in the original cartoon series and is often compared to Mystery Inc.’s Velma due to her sleuthing skills.
They join the previously announced Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!) as the titular Great Dane, Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) as Shaggy Rogers, Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) as Velma Dinkley, and Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) as Captain Caveman.
Scooby-Doo is set for release on May 15, 2020.
