Marvel’s THE ETERNALS has found its leading lady!

The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Angela Jolie has joined the cast of Marvel’s The Eternals.

Though neither the film nor the casting is officially announced it is expected that the movie will enter production in either at the end of 2019 or early in 2020.

Plot details for the movie remain scarce, but THR’s report confirms the film will revolve around the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst the humans. It is expected that Jolie will take on the role of Sersi.

Chloe Zhao (The Rider) is directing the movie, which is based on the Jack Kirby-created comic series, with a script from Matthew and Ryan Firpo (Ruin). 

No release date has been set as yet.
