It’s been a great night for Marvel at the 2019 Oscars ceremony. Both Black Panther and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse were big winners on the night.
Following wins at the BAFTAS and Golden Globes Spider-Verse picked up the award for Best Animated Feature. Once again Spidey beat off competition from Incredibles 2, Isle of Dogs, Mirai and Ralph Breaks the Internet to scoop the award. Congratulations to the team at Sony for creating such a unique movie.
All eyes were on Marvel Studios Black Panther which was nominated in a number of categories including Best Picture. Though Best Picture went to the phenomenal Green Book, Panther still picked up a number of awards.
It was successful in the Best Costume Design, making Ruth Carter the first African American woman to win the award. There were also wins for Best Production Design and Best Score.
Well done to all the nominees and all the winners!
