This week Alita: Battle Angel made its debut in China. Following a middling performance in North America the movie has been seeing some strong returns in international territories.
Estimates are coming in this evening that Alita has made $64.8M. If correct that would be the highest ever debut for a 20th Century Fox movie in the territory. It also sets a new record for IMAX screenings in February.
The movie has now made $263.3M off a $170M production budget. Whilst we all hope that sequel is green lit you can read our review of the movie here.
