Denis Villeneuve has been very public about his intention to remake the cult classic movie Dune. In doing so the film as amassed an impressive number of A-list Hollywood names to join the cast.
It’s now been announced that Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, will be joining the cast to take on the role of sword master Duncan Idaho.
Momoa will be joined by Academy Award-nominee Timothee Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name) in the lead role of Paul Atreides. Also announced as part of the cast are Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Stellan Skarsgård (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Academy Award-nominee Charlotte Rampling (Red Sparrow), Golden Globe-winner Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), and Academy Award-nominee Josh Brolin (Avengers: Infinity War).
Dune is set to being production in Spring for a 2020 release.
