The cast and crew of Gotham were recently on hand to present footage from the series finale. At a special Television Critics Association panel in celebration of the series it was also revealed just how 17 year-old David Mazouz will suit up as The Dark Knight.
While the young actor’s face will be under the cowl and we will indeed hear his voice and “Batman growl,” the suit itself is going to be worn by someone else. They will be around 6’4″ and built like the Caped Crusader, while Mazouz is 5’8″. Camera trickery will then be used to combine the two actors.
We’ll have to wait until May to see how Batman looks on film. Do you think this is the best way to allow Mazouz to play the iconic role?
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock and David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne. The series also stars Robin Lord Taylor as Penguin, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth.
The series airs on FOX Thursdays at 8/7c.
