The cast of Sony Pictures next Spider-Man spin-off is beginning to grow. Morbius: The Living Vampire is gearing up to start production later in the year following the huge success of 2018’s Venom.
Overnight Variety has broken the news that former Doctor Who star Matt Smith will be joining the movie in a major role. Details on his role are being kept tightly under wraps but it’s understood he may be playing the lead antagonist in the movie.
It’s also been announced that Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim Uprising) will star in a key role.
Morbius: The Living Vampire will be directed by Daniel Espinosa based on a script from Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. The movie stars Jared Leto in the title role.
As yet no release date has been officially announced.
