Amazon Prime has debuted our first look at its adaption of Dynamite Entertainment comic The Boys.
The Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson series ran from 2008 to 2012 and has been adapted for the screen by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The series take an alternative look a the superhero genre by focussing on a group of heroes who have become amoral celebrities that often engage in destructive behavior. The Boys are a CIA squad brought in to keep them in check — or kill them, if needed.

The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Karen Fukuhara as the Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Simon Pegg as Hughie’s dad.
The series will premiere on Amazon in Summer 2019
