We’ve known for a while that a PG-13 cut of Deadpool 2 was headed to cinemas in December. Now we know this new version is officially titled Once Upon A Deadpool and will arrive on December 12.
Speaking of the re-release star Ryan Reynolds had this to say. “Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Reynolds explained. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

Ryan Reynolds will be joined in Deadpool 2 by T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Stefan Kapičić who all reprise roles from the first film. Newcomers to the franchise include Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna. David Leitch takes over directing duties for the sequel.
