Marvel developing FALCON & WINTER SOLDIER series for Disney streaming service

There has been plenty of rumours going around about Marvel’s plans for the new Disney streaming service. We understand the studio is developing short, event-series based on Scarlett Witch and Loki. There has also been rumours of a Nick Fury series.

Then we heard the Fury rumours were false. Counter rumours pointed to the studio working on “something bigger.” Could this be that series?

A new rumour from Variety points to Marvel working on a series featuring Falcon and Winter Soldier. According to the trade, the limited series is to be penned by Empire screenwriter Malcolm Spellman. That makes it the first of the streaming series to openly take on writing staff.

It is important to note these new developments are all said to be under the careful watch fo Kevin Feige. Feige will act as producer on all the content for Disney streaming rather than Jeph Loeb. Loeb currently overseas development on all Marvel TV projects.
