The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed overnight that Marvel has struck a deal for Ryan Coogler to return for a Black Panther sequel.
It’s no surprise the studio would want Coogler to return after the huge success of the first movie. That film grossed $1.3B following its release in February of 2018 and currently sits as the second highest grossing movie of 2018 behind Avengers: Infinity War.
No official release date is set for the sequel as yet but don’t be surprised if the February 12, 2021 date currently reserved by Marvel becomes official.
