Star Trek: The Next Generation star Brent Spiner was recently announced to join the cast of Supergirl.
Now The Hollywood Reporter has learnt the actor has had to drop out of the role due to family commitments. The trade has confirmed The CW has found a replacement in fellow veteran actor Bruce Boxleitner (Tron).
Very little is known about the character. It has been confirmed that Lynda Carter will be reprising her role as the President. We know that character is an alien in disguise so the VPs role may involve outing that secret to the world.
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist, David Harewood, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and Jeremy Jordan. The series airs on The CW in North America and here on Sky One.
