Marvel cancels two of it’s X-MEN series

The axe has quietly swung on two of Marvel’s X-Men series in the last day. X-Men: Gold and X-Men: Blue will both be coming to an end in the coming months.
This leaves X-Men: Red the sole surviving team in current continuity.
Both series come to an end in September with their issue #36.
The news was revealed in the release of Marvel’s September solicitations. X-Men Gold #35 and #36 and X-Men Blue #35 and #36 all ship in September. The solicitations note that both #36 issues are the final issues of their respective series.
With bot series drawing to a close the young versions of the core cast are aware their time in the present is coming to an end. Could they finally be about to return to the past? Could that even trigger the end of these two series?
