Box office analysts has begun to weigh in on the opening weekend of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The film drops next week across the globe and is tracking for a monster few days.
Reports from various sources point to the fifth film in the franchise opening somewhere between $130m and $150m at the North American box office.
That figure falls a little behind the behemoth $208.8m opening for Jurassic World back in 2015. At the higher end of the estimate the film would quickly become the third highest opening of 2018 following Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther.

Pratt and Howard are joined by co-stars James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Geraldine Chaplin, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, while BD Wong and Jeff Goldblum reprise their roles.
Directed by J.A. Bayona (The Impossible), the epic action-adventure is written by Jurassic World’s director, Trevorrow, and its co-writer, Derek Connolly. Producers Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley once again partner with Spielberg and Trevorrow in leading the team of filmmakers for this stunning installment. Belén Atienza joins the team as a producer.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits UK cinemas on June 6 and June 22 in the US.
