It’s safe to say that Batgirl has not had the easiest ride to the big screen. It was only back in February that we heard Joss Whedon had exited the project. At the time he cited his own lack of an original story for the reason he had stepped away.
Now THR brings news that a new writer has entered the fray. Bumblee scribe Christina Hodson is now working on the latest draft of the film. If the name sounds familiar to DC Films fans Hodson has also worked on a draft of the Birds of Prey script.
That project is said to still be in development and is currently being shopped to potential directors. Hodson’s past credits also include a pair of thrillers: Shut In and Unforgettable.
