‘Logan’ picks up Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay

Whilst DC Films missed out on nominations in any categories as yesterdays Oscar nominations it wasn’t all bad news for comic book movies. Logan picked up a nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay becoming the first superhero movie in history to do so.
Whilst many expected Wonder Woman to pick up at least a nomination for Patty Jenkins in the directing category that film wasn’t even nominated in the technical categories. There were technical nods for Blade Runner 2049, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Sir Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook, Eriq La Salle, Stephen Merchant, Elise Neal and Elizabeth Rodriguez & Richard E. Grant. The film is directed by James Mangold and scripted by David James Kelly.
