Over the weekend we brought you the announcement that Jean Grey will be headlining a new X-Men series at Marvel. X-Men Red will see Jean leading a new team with a new base of operations. At the time Marvel teased the cast of characters who will be supporting Jean and now we have an idea as to who they are.
Joining Jean will be Wolverine aka Laura Kinney and her clone sister Gabby. Tom Taylor has teased that Gabby will finally reveal a codename during this run. Gentle a mutant from Black Panther’s home of Wakanda will also form part of the team alongside Namor the Sub-Mariner. Classic mutant Nightcrawler and a new character called Trinary will round out the team.
A new synopsis for the series has also been revealed:
When one of the most dangerous X-Men villains returns to wreak havoc, Jean’s dreams of peace are threatened…and order starts to turn to chaos. It’s mutant against mutant this February in an all-new adventure that will have X-fans on the edge of their seats, as Jean Grey’s team takes on the Marvel Universe – only in X-MEN RED!
The series will be masterminded by writer Tom Taylor and artist Mahmud Asrar. Order your copy now where all good comics are sold!
