With the release of Batman & Harley Quinn back in Summer we got our first look at the next DC Comics animated film… Batman: Gotham by Gaslight behind-the-scenes preview. The brief showed off some of the Victorian action from the film and now we have the first full trailer.
This new trailer gives a much better idea of how the book will translate to film. There’s a lot of action as well as confirmation that Gotham by Gaslight will be an R-rated film. Check out the trailer in the player below:
In an age of mystery and superstition, how would the people of Gotham react to a weird creature of the night, a bat-garbed vigilante feared by the guilty and the innocent alike? The very first Elseworlds tale re-imagines the Dark Knight detective in Victorian times and pits him against the infamous murderer Jack the Ripper.
Gotham by Gaslight is written by James Krieg and executive produced by Bruce Timm. The voice cast includes Jennifer Carpenter as Catwoman, no other casting announcements have been made as yet. The film is due in late 2017/early 2018.
