In an announcement which nobody saw coming Marvel royalty Brian Michael Bendis has left the company to take up a deal with DC Comics. Earlier today the DC Comics Twitter account exclusively announced that Bendis will be joining the company in the near future for a ‘multiyear, multi-faceted’ deal.

We have no news yet on what Bendis’ role will be within the company or what titles he will take over. Bendis is most famous as the god father of Marvel’s Ultimate universe having masterminded the Ultimate Spider-Man series. He has also worked on multiple Avengers titles also X-Men.
