Overnight some very exciting news has broken for fans of ‘Young Justice’. Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics jointly announced that the show is actively back in production for a third season.
In a statement to the press Sam Register, President of Warner Bros. Animation said:
“The affection that fans have had for ‘Young Justice,’ and their rallying cry for more episodes, has always resonated with us. We are excited to bring the show back for this loyal fanbase and to provide an opportunity for new viewers to discover this excellent series.”
Series producers Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman will be returning. No news yet on whether the series original voice cast will return or when and where the show will premiere.
The original ‘Young Justice’ ran for two seasons on Cartoon Network before being unceremoniously cancelled due to a lack of toy sales. Production costs on the original series had been part funded by the company behind the toy line.
