BEWARE OF SPOILERS
There’s not a lot I can say about this issue other than… I don’t get it.
I never read the ‘Dial H’ series and I’m not familiar with ‘Dial H for Hero’ but having done a bit of researching I now kind of understand the premise behind it. That being said I’m still not entirely sure what’s going on in this issue.
For me the artwork is pretty loud and busy which made it hard to pick up on what was going on and that in turn made it harder for me to understand the story. Perhaps if I had understood the premise a little more it would have made sense.
That being said I know very little about Darkseid and even less about Lobo but I understood both of their issues to a degree.
The multitude of artists in this issue is a clever idea to help emphasise the different between all the different characters that come out from the dial and actually although overly busy the various visual styles do go together well when actually it could all have gone very wrong.
All-in-all not for me.
4/10
