Arguably one of the most exciting aspects of Star Trek: Picard season 2 has been the addition of Annie Wersching as a brand new Borg Queen. The character made her presence known very early in the season (or did she!?) and has been ever-present as the crew of La Sirena has traversed the alternate timeline.
But how did the Picard makeup team bring this new version of the character to life? The official Trek social media channels have released a brand new featurette with department head of makeup and prosthetics James MacKinnon.

Star Trek: Picard season two cast members include Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Jeri Ryan, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Orla Brady, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera and Brent Spiner. This season’s cast also includes Annie Wersching and special guest stars Whoopi Goldberg, and John de Lancie. Star Trek: Picard is currently in production on a third season.
Season 2 airs new episodes in the UK on Fridays via Prime Video. In the US the series airs new episodes Thursday’s on Paramount+.
