As March comes to a close, Spring has sprung, and has left cinema-goers hungry for more than just easter chocolate. And just as we flock into our cinemas, a certain group of curious sheep have gathered to entertain us – whilst serving up a suspiciously sinister mystery.
From the hands of director Kyle Balda (Despicable Me 3, The Lorax),The Sheep Detective features the formidable talents of Hugh Jackman and Emma Thompson, alongside a voice cast including Bryan Cranston, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Patrick Stewart and Bella Ramsay. The film’s adapted screenplay is brought to us by Craig Mazin, most-known for his work on The Last Of Us. A brief synopsis of The Sheep Detective is as follows:
In this witty, new breed of mystery, George (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realise they must become the detectives. As they follow the clues and investigate human suspects, they prove that even sheep can be brilliant crime-solvers
