Time to check out this week’s UK Official Film Chart as Warner Bros. Pictures’ Dune: Part Two makes a strong Number 1 debut.
The Sci-Fi adventure film clocks in in its first week of release with an impressive 89,600 sales on digital downloads only, followed by its predecessor Dune – which lifts 26 places – at Number 2. Starring Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem as part of a star-studded cast, Dune: Part Two is the highest-grossing film of 2024 so far.
Further down the chart, a digital boxset of Dune and Dune: Part Two debuts at Number 8.
Meanwhile, Oppenheimer lifts one to Number 3, switching places with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom at Number 4 this week. Action-comedy Argylle returns to the Top 10 this week, up eight places to Number 5 marking a brand new peak for the film.
Chalamet makes another appearance in this week’s Top 10 next, as Wonka finishes at Number 6, while The Holdovers enjoys a second week in the Top 10 at Number 7.
Finally, Barbie dances into another big week at Number 9, while last week’s chart-topper, biographical drama One Life, rounds out this week’s Top 10 at Number 10.
