The first episode of DC Universe’s Swamp Thing premieres two weeks today! In celebration the streaming service has released this intense new trailer for the series.
Watch as Alec Holland (Andy Bean) and Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) explore the mysterious the of the swamp and uncover something which neither of them expected.
This is our best look yet at the DC Comics streaming service first foray in to the world of horror. There’s plenty of creepy imagery and jumpy moments here and its got us really excited for the series to premiere.

When CDC researcher Abby Arcane returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland — only to have him tragically taken from her. But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous — and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.
Swamp Thing will premiere on the DC Universe streaming service on May 31, 2019. The series is set to star Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, Jeryl Prescott, Henderson Wade and Kevin Durand.
