This one is purely rumour but it’s a rumour which, for now, could seriously come to pass.
THR is reporting that Disney has delayed production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 whilst the search for a new director continues. The report states that crew members that had assembled in Atlanta to begin pre-production are now being dismissed and are free to look for other work.
This means the film could be facing a lengthy delay whilst a new director is sought.
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is currently the front-runner to take over from James Gunn following his departure from the directors chair.
Disney has yet to comment officially on the delay but we’ll bring you the news as and when they do.
