Evidence continues to point towards serious issues with the planned release of New Mutants.
In case you aren’t already up to speed: the movie was due for release last year and has been so far delayed twice. Rumours pointed to reshoots working on the tone of the movie were being planned with original director Josh Boone.
Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams recently commented on the movie during an interview with Rolling Stone in which she really doesn’t mince her words.
“Who knows when the [frick] that’s gonna come out,” she says. There were supposed to be reshoots to “make it scarier,” she explains, but they haven’t actually taken place. She says she saw one of her co-stars, Charlie Heaton, the other day and asked him, “What the [frick] is going on with this movie?” He didn’t know either. She smiles. “Hopefully this interview will make everyone hurry up a little bit!”
It’s certainly a worrying sign that those reshoots haven’t happened yet. What exactly has the studio been doing all this time?
