Over the weekend Joker had its worldwide premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Director Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix and Zazie Beetz were on hand to debut the movie to what was reportedly an eight minute standing ovation. Following the premiere the review embargo for the movie lifts and a slew of (almost entirely) glowing reviews hit the web. The film currently holds a score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes showing that Warner Bros. potentially has a big hit on its hands. Warner Bros. is deep in reshoots and editing on the upcoming Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The film is due for release in just over 5 months time with fans clamouring to see some official footage. Now we understand that Germany’s FSK (the equivalent of the MPAA and BBFC boards) has classified a short teaser for release. When Venom hit screens back in 2018 fans desperately hoped that Tom Holland would crop up in a small cameo as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
