Joker was already tipped for big things when fans learned it would have its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Over the weekend the festival drew to a close with its annual awards ceremony celebrating the best of the festival. Warner Bros. is gearing up for the release of Doctor Sleep in November. The film serves as a sequel to Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining and the Stephen King novel on which it was based. The Andy Muschietti sequel garnered an estimated $91M this time around, from an absolutely huge 4,570 screens.
