New Star Wars: Episode IX news overnight as original cast member Billy Dee Williams is confirmed to return. It is not yet known how Lando Calrissian will return to the fold. It’s likely that in their hour of need the rebels will turn to only of the only surviving original characters to remain. It was recently announced that Deadpool 2 will be getting the extended cut treatment on home video. Now star Ryan Reynolds has confirmed we will be seeing the “Super Duper Cut” a lot sooner than expected. In a tweet yesterday Reynolds confirmed the new cut will land on Blu-Ray on August 21. The digital edition of the film will arrive on August 7. Both dates are much sooner than we anticipated. Sad news from the comics industry over the weekend as Marvel legend Steve Ditko has passed away at the age of 90. Ditko is most famous as the co-creator of iconic characters such as Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. The writer/artist was found dead in his apartment a little over a week ago. Over the weekend multiple sources confirmed his sad passing. Ditko never married and leaves no surviving family. As an icon of the golden era of comics we all have a lot to thank him for. Overall it is the thirty-fifth film to cross the milestone at the box office. It is also the third film of 2018 following Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther.
