Disney/Lucasfilm has officially released one of the standout moments of Solo: A Star Wars Story online. The Darth Maul cameo came as a huge surprise to audiences who were duped in to expecting a Darth Vader or Emperor Palpatine appearance. It was only back in August that we told you this years Oscars ceremony was including a new category. The controversial new “Popular Movie” category was set to shine a light on popular movies which do not normally find success in the ceremonies main categories. Mission Impossible: Fallout has finally hit the Chinese market. Following its opening weekend its clear the franchise has a huge hold over the Middle Kingdom as movie opened to a franchise best $77m. That figure is also a career best for Tom Cruise in the market. Domestically the film has made over $200m whilst internationally the tally is currently around $468m. Globally that means the film has grossed $668m. Some great news for Deadline this morning for Daredevil fans. The trade is reporting that the series will be brining its third season to New York Comic Con in October. It’s not yet known how the series will present itself but it is believed that Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and Joanna Whalley will all be making an appearance. The Doctor is on the move. The BBC has today announced Doctor Who will be moving from its usual Saturday night time slot. In a move accidentally announced by Apple iTunes 24hrs early the show will be making the move to Sunday nights. From October 7 new Doctor Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor will now air on Sunday nights on BBC1 here in the UK. Fans of the series will be pleased to hear the show will no longer exist within a timey wimey shifting Saturday night time slot.
