Earlier this week we learned that production has completed on DCTV crossover event Elseworlds. Now The CW has released the first official look at Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane alongside Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. We can’t help but notice the pair are surrounded by ice. Could they be holed up in the Fortress of Solitude when they get called in to the fight? Venom has finally arrived in China and it has landed with a bang. The Sony Pictures movie, the first in their Spider-less-verse, has broken the record for the biggest opening day ever for a superhero movie in the region. Tom Hardy and the gang opened with $34.2M on Friday including $2.5M from Thursday previews. There’s a strong chance the movie closes out the weekend with over $100M. That would push Venom in to the #7 spot on the list of highest grossing movies of 2018. Currently the worldwide gross for Venom is around $550M. 20th Century Fox has released the first post for new Christmas movie Once Upon A Deadpool. The PG-13 re-release of Deadpool 2 lands in cinemas in December 21. $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to the charity F**k Cancer which is being temporarily renamed to Fudge Cancer for the festive period. Disney+ plus is now officially a thing. Today Disney president Bob Iger announced the service along with several of the series which will be part of it. Firstly we got the announcement that The Mandalorian will be joined by a second Star Wars series. It has also been announced Disney is working on new series based in the Monsters Inc. and High School Musical franchises. We also got confirmation of the first of the Marvel series currently in the works: Loki. Iger confirmed that Marvel is working on a number of character portrait series set within the MCU. Disney’s new streaming service officially has a name, Disney+ and now the service has its second Star Wars series. With The Mandalorian currently in production StarWars.com has announced an exciting new project. Diego Luna will be returning to the role of Cassian Andor from Rogue One. Back in 1994 Constantin Films was preparing for the release of its Fantastic Four movie. The movie had been made in a rush to stop the characters rights from reverting back to Marvel Entertainment. B-Movie legend Roger Corman, famed for the original Little Shop of Horrors, was hired to executive produce the project. Oley Sassone acted as director. Ultimately completion of the film fulfilled the requirements to hold on to the rights. Its release was cancelled and the movie has never ‘officially’ seen the light of day.
